Bring Essential Dental Care Directly to Your Students

We partner with schools to provide on-site dental clinics. Our work improves student health, reduces barriers to care, and supports attendance and learning.

Why partner with Ready, Set, Smile?

Oral health is a critical part of supporting lifelong well-being and learning.

  • Tooth decay is the most common chronic disease in children.

  • Dental pain contributes to missed school days and difficulty focusing in class.

  • Many families face barriers to accessing dental care (cost, transportation, time).

  • Schools are uniquely positioned to help bridge barriers by providing care at school, during the school day!

How it works:

1. Finalize partnership contract and clinic date(s). Establish a relationship between RSS and school-designated contacts.
2. We support recruitment by attending school events and providing promotional materials and consent forms.
3. Once students are registered and confirmed, our team brings portable equipment to your site 1-4 days before the event.
4. On the clinic date, students receive care during the school day and then return to class.

Your School, Our Impact:

We track key metrics across all school partnerships to measure program reach and effectiveness.

At the end of each school year, we provide a summary report for your school or district. This includes data such as the number of students served, returning vs new students, and services provided (including screenings, fluoride applications, sealants, and more).

We are happy to align reporting with your school or district’s goals.

What we do

  • On-site dental care clinics twice per academic year, oral health education lessons once per year.

  • Minimal disruption to the school day.

  • We partner with you to handle logistics, scheduling, and family communication.

What Schools do

  • Establish a designated point of contact.

  • Share consent forms with families and otherwise promote the program.

  • Provide a space to hold clinic events, with access to a water source and WiFi.

  • Designate a staff member to bring children to and from the clinic event room.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • No. Students are seen efficiently and returned to class as quickly as possible.

  • A small room, such as an unused classroom or multi-purpose space, with a nearby water source and WiFi access.

  • We encourage families to continue seeing their regular dentist. Our program is designed to expand access to care.

  • No. We provide services at no cost to families. However, we do bill insurance, and send statements to families who are privately insured.

  • Families who are uninsured/publicly insured will not receive a bill from Ready, Set, Smile.

Those with private insurance may receive a bill from us if insurance does not cover the full cost of services.

However, we do not expect families to pay for services, and they may contact us to request that any remaining balance be written off.

If we don’t hear from them, balances are automatically written off after a set period.
